2000 was the first model year for Felt BMX bikes, selling throughout Europe and in other major BMX markets worldwide. In 2003 Felt hired ex-BMX rider Alan Foster to assemble a team to help promote and launch the 2004 BMX line in the USA. Fast forward to 2006, and today Felt has a solid group of Factory Team, Flow Team and Grass Roots level riders. The USA Factory Team is lead by Park shredder Scotty Cranmer and an amazingly fast AA Pro racer, Paulie Lange. The Felt guys pride themselves in designing their own components and even when it is not a Felt item, it is the best part available on the market. Out of our design and development work we produced our first product, the Maiden Frame with post-weld heat treated 4130 cromo. Now three years on and our team and product line has increased. CHARITY'S SUPPORTED BY CYCLE-WORLD

three crazy customers who are going to run the marathon des sables!
Team HotRunning (Keith Anderson, James Hughes & James Myles) are entered into the 24th Marathon des Sables which will take place in March 2009. This ultramarathon has been consistently acknowledged as 'The Toughest Footrace On Earth'. The event takes place in late March/early April and crosses around 150 miles of the Sahara Desert over 6 days. The terrain varies between rocky trails, mountain slopes, and steep sand dunes. Temperatures can hit 40+ degrees celcius during the days and plummet to almost freezing point at night. During the event we will have to carry all of the food, clothing, sleeping bag, and emergency equipment that we will need over the 6 days. Water is strictly rationed at around 9 litres a day and accomodation is a Berber tent. if you want to sponsor them or get involved,have a look at their website.

300 miles
In May 2009, Firefighters Lee Peyton and Garry Mackay will head to the Outer Hebrides to complete a 300 mile self-supported journey from the south of the island chain to the most northerly tip, the Butt of Lewis. En-route, in a totally human-powered expedition, they will: visit all 15 inhabited islands, kayak between them, cycle across all of them, run to the top of the highest hill on each island, complete the route in less than 60 hours and, with a bit of pain and effort, raise £25,000 for CLIC Sargent (Registered Charity No: SC039857). In total this involves over 250 miles of cycling; around 20 miles kayaking (in some of the most challenging tidal waters around the United Kingdom) and ascending around 4000m in height whilst covering approximately 30 miles, on foot.

we hate hills
We Hate Hills & Wind are not a club or a formal team, just a bunch of blokes who are enjoying getting out at the weekend to try to stay a bit fit, get some fresh air & some fun, followed by a lovely coffee & toast !! BUT we do hate hills & wind when cycling !! In 2008 5 of us took part in several individual day Charity rides, culminating with the London To Paris ride of nearly 300 miles in aid of Action Medical Research "Touching Tiny Lives" charity in aid of sick, vulnerable & premature babies & raised nearly £7,000 In 2009 we will be cycling a longer route of 340 miles from London To Paris & there will be 24 - YES TWENTY FOUR of us doing it & are targetted to raise £24,000 for the Touching Tiny Lives campaign.

The Angus Mountain Bike Trails Association has been formed for the purpose of building a Mountain Bike Trails Centre somewhere in the Angus area and possibly using Laggan Wolftrax as the starting model. Membership of AMBTA is free and requires only that you send an email requesting to join. The more members we have the more weight we carry in regards to funding &c.
